Discover time- Dolls

Today, Room 2 spent the afternoon discovery dolls during Discovery time. The children did dress ups, dressed baby dolls, made paper dolls and we made clothing out of newspaper.

Room 2 Developmental Maths- Mass and capacity.

In these photos, Paige and Maddix are testing which basket is the heaviest by pushing them along the ground.

In this photo, the children were deciding which piece of paper would make the biggest cone for Daddy Bears pop corn.

We looked at different containers and the idea of conservation.

In these photo, Theanim is testing the weight of the shopping bags to see which is the heaviest.

Here you can see the cones we have made for the Three Bears pop corn and we are ordering them from largest to smallest.

Discovery time- Pirates

Paige had a treasure map which she was using to find the gold.

Room 2 has been learning about volume. In these photos we have been finding out which lunch box will hold the most fruit.

Swimming!

Hi All,

Swimming starts next monday! I cant wait to take you all in the pool to learn how to blow bubbles, put our heads under the water and float.

Please make sure you do not wear your swimmers under your school uniform as we do not leave until 1pm.

Also, I will be looking for parent volunteers so if you have time on your hands and would like to help room 2 then please come and see me.
