Glasses!

Last week, Brooklyn got glasses. To celebrate his new glasses, Room 2 all got to make their own glasses!

Dinosaur Discovery

Today during discovery time we talked about everything we knew about dinosaurs. Then, we had time to participate in different activities where we could share with our friends everything we knew about dinosaurs. In discovery time we are learning to SHARE, TALK TO EACH OTHER and ASK OUR FRIENDS FOR HELP rather than asking an adult straight away. Check out our photos from today!

Writing descriptions

We have been learning to write descriptions this term in Room 2. Here are some photos of our shared writing. I will soon post some of the children's writing about their Mum's, Dad's, siblings and teachers.

Developmental Maths- Sorting shapes into groups

Week 1- we have been looking at shapes that are exactly the same. Here the children are putting shapes into groups to show that the shapes are the same shape and size.

Room 2 did a fantastic job of working together to finish this task. Well done!

Discovery time- Construction

During discovery time, Room 1 and 2 have been learning to share their ideas with each other. Our main aim is to talk to each other nicely and use manners.

Discovery time- Fairy Tales

Today in Discovery time, Room 2 and Room 1 talked about Fairy tales. We read Jack and the Bean Stalk and made a list of all the fairy tales we knew. We then talked about what makes a good fairy tale and we think that a fairy tale needs to start with "Once upon a time" and have fairies, princes, princesses, dragons, kings, witches and castles.

 Caleb is making a ginger bread man.

Nikora had a wonderful time with his "sea snake who is eating the ginger bread man". Kenny was using his fairy to help save Nikora's ginger bread man from the "horrible mean sea snake".
